A company built from a question that becomes painfully familiar after losing someone we love.
Kabaakh began with a question that becomes painfully familiar after losing someone we love: What happens to everything only they knew how to give us?
After losing my cousin, Alicia, to COVID, I watched the consequences of loss extend far beyond the person who died. Her mother lost a daughter. Her daughter lost the opportunity to receive her mother's guidance throughout the important stages of her life.
Today, I can tell Alicia's daughter stories about who her mother was. But stories are still secondhand.
What if Alicia had been able to preserve her own stories, judgment, and humor for her daughter herself?
That question became Kabaakh.
We are building technology so families of the future may inherit more than just photographs and recordings. The next generation will inherit their loved one's advice.
